The most popular activities in Coverack are without doubt the simplest, a lounge on the beach, a swim and an ice-cream, perhaps a bit of fishing or a walk along the coastal path to work up an appetite. The beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere in the village make it ideal for unwinding and just watching the world go by.Fishing in the area is excellent and quite a variety of species including Bass, Pollack, Conger, Wrasse, Mackeral and Mullet can be caught from the Harbour wall, or from a small boat in the sheltered bay. Enquire locally as to the availabilty of a charter boat. The Mill beach in Coverack and the nearby Mears beach consistantly produce fish to beachcast bait or plug, especially if the sea is rough.Walking is very popular with some excellent places to go. There is the well marked coastal path, and using a good map or one of the many guides available many different places can be visited on foot. The Golfer is well catered for, with courses to suit all skill levels.
